E&N: Christ of King & Atlanta Country Club Wedding

Emmi and Nick’s wedding day was nothing short of spectacular, blending elegance, personal touches, and non-stop fun across four unique locations. From the crack of dawn to a night full of celebration, their day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

The day began bright and early at DoubleTree at The Battery at 5 a.m., where Emmi, her bridesmaids, family, and groomsmen gathered for a relaxing morning. Hair and makeup kicked off with a delicious breakfast, setting a calm and happy tone for the day ahead. The bridesmaids’ room was alive with laughter, love, music and even a few TikTok dance break sessions, while the groomsmen enjoyed the ease of the morning with his favorite guys.

As the morning rolled on, we transferred to Christ the King with a personal chauffeur. Upon arrival, the pre-ceremony events began with heartfelt first looks: Emmi’s father and then her brothers shared sweet moments with her, and there was an emotional first touch and vow exchange with the groom. The atmosphere was smooth and relaxing, perfect for such special moments that should never be rushed.

The ceremony began at noon, and it was truly magical. The flower girl, powered by marshmallows, stole the show with her stellar performance down the aisle. Emmi’s entrance was breathtaking—her cathedral veil flowed gracefully as she walked down the long aisle on her father’s arm. The tissues were ready for Dad, who did not hold back those happy tears while handing Emmi off to her handsome groom. The ceremony lasted an hour, and we even managed to squeeze in some altar photos before the next wedding started. Christ the King runs weddings like clockwork, so a great outside coordinator was key to making sure everything ran smoothly for the couple.

A quick note to future brides: Christ the King stacks its weddings throughout the day, so make sure you have a solid plan for photos and all personal belongings, as everything must be removed from the building before your ceremony. The courtyard is perfect for first looks, touches, and vow exchanges—don’t miss the chance to capture those moments in this stunning space!

After the ceremony, we moved to Emmi’s aunt’s house in the beautiful neighborhood of Atlanta Country Club for a family luncheon. The bridal party was greeted with drinks and ready for more photos. The luncheon was intimate and heartfelt, hosted by Emmi’s aunt in her lovely home, giving the day a personal touch that reflected the closeness of family.

Finally, the festivities moved to the Atlanta Country Club for the reception, where the details truly shined. Emmi’s choice of décor added an elegant, timeless feel to the space. Her estate table, where she sat with her entire bridal party, was a stunning focal point. A lush garland ran down the center, interspersed with glowing candlelight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The guest tables were a perfect mix of styles—some featured candle arrangements while others showcased low floral designs, all of which incorporated her favorite touch of blue. The color palette of whites, greens, and hints of blue created a breathtaking contrast, giving the room an air of sophistication. The final touch? A gorgeous dance floor that became the heart of the celebration as the night progressed.

As the evening unfolded, Emmi’s spontaneous side shined through. My team worked with her to bend her timeline, and she kept it lively by diving straight into the garter toss, bouquet toss, and cake cutting. She later changed into an adorable reception dress, but not before taking some more TikTok breaks and sharing a shot with her sister—proof that the best plans are often the unplanned ones!

Before the outfit change, we whisked the bride and groom away for sunset photos, capturing quiet moments between them before the night fully kicked off. When they entered the reception, they danced the night away, surrounded by family and friends, and made sure to enjoy every second.

The live band, Naughty Input, turned the celebration into a full-blown party. The dance floor stayed packed all night, with Emmi and Nick even jumping on stage to dance with the band, headbang, and lead a chant to the UGA fight song at the end of the night—Go Dawgs!

What made this couple stand out was their flawless organization—everything was labeled and ready to go for the Haylan Events & Weddings team. But what we loved most was their ability to let go and enjoy the moment. Emmi and Nick were fully present, embraced the spontaneity, and created their own flow for the day.

The night ended with a memorable exit through a sea of UGA red pom poms as the couple drove away in their family’s classic red Thunderbird. After a long but exhilarating 17 hours, I wouldn’t change a thing—it was a beautiful celebration of love, joy, tears and family.

Congratulations, Emmi and Nick! Your wedding day was as perfect and unique as your love story.

A special thank you to my wonderful team, Brooke and Irina and our amazing vendors:
