We welcomed the honor of Relex Solutions to choose Haylan Events to be the ambassadors of their first United States Summer Party in Atlanta Georgia. Covid restrictions made some traveling challenging. It sure put a damper on the plans for Relex to fly their employees to the headquarter office in Helsinki, Finland as they do every year.
Who is Relex Solutions? Relex is a large corporation ‘that helps retailers and brands plan better, sell more and waste less’. They have an office on every continent, consisting of 2000-5000 employees worldwide. 700 United States employees flew into Atlanta where their newly opened office is located for a two day event. The event started on a Thursday with a brief meeting. Games were incorporated so the employees could meet others. It was light, quick and a fun afternoon. Prizes of course were given out. At the table, we set up a notepad, pen, waters and a beautiful detailed itinerary on the front. On the back was an incredible map with illustrations of Atlanta as well as the activities they will be participating in. This showed all the activities they were about to embark on like shooting the hooch, Top Golf and even their new Atlanta office. Upon leaving, each employee had a drawstring canvas branded bag. This bag was used throughout the event so they could easily carry their items around. The gift baskets included branded items like sunglasses, beach towels and more. Also, some essentials were included. We know a lot of the time, essentials are left behind like razors, tylenol, and claritin. We also realize, while drinking, you need snacks and to stay hydrated so we ensured there was a good amount of items in there. This included Starbucks gift cards as well so they could stay caffeinated to keep up with the busy weekend.
Thursday night ended with Haylan Events making reservations for each team to have a team dinner. There were over 15 reservations made and transportation in place. One example of an evening out included a buffet at Park Tavern. They were taken in a pre arranged transportation and greeted with an amazing view, drinks and giant outdoor games like corn hole, connect 4 and a beautiful set up just for them. Once they were hungry they went inside where they were greeted with their own area to eat, drink and mingle.
Friday was an amazing day! A full day of giving and lots of experience packed into one day!!
The day started with the necessary fuel for an unforgettable day. We had a caterer come in that provided a breakfast spread. It included some of their most popular scones and muffins. They also provided fresh fruit, coffee and a tea spread. Haylan Events put together an unforgettable charity event at the Ronald McDonald House. Unfortunately, due to covid being still a risk, the team could not go into the house. However, we set up a zoom call and projected it on the wall to have a meeting with the manager. She explained who they were, what they provided to the families as well as some heartfelt clips of the families and how much our charity event meant to their family/child. Haylan Events came prepared with gifts and a plan for supplying needed items. Handcrafted superhero capes with masks for boys. Custom made inspirational bracelets for girls, a walk to Whole Foods to put together Ronald McDonald’s House needs. This included Sanitation spray, toilet paper, and canned goods.
Friday afternoon and night was all about the employees.
When the employees signed up for their travels to Atlanta, the employees were instructed to sign up for a hotel room (how many nights as some employees came in an extra day or stayed an extra night.) and an activity that spiked their interest as well as their Thursday night dinner option.
At noon, the employees loaded up in their pre-arranged transportation to embark on their activity. Some of the activities included: Tubing down the river (Shoot the Hooch), Top Golf, Van Gaugh experience, Stone Mountain, A bike tour around Atlanta, Andretties, Painting with a twist after a tour around the quaint Roswell square, Ponce City rooftop, Sweetwater brewery, scavenger hunt around Centennial park, GA Aquarium and much more. Haylan events team picked these activities to give the employees a taste of Atlanta. Some of these activities Haylan Events set up a lunch experience as well. For example, Top golf, Sweetwater Brewery the employees had a spread of lunch buffet with some drink options as well. However, some of the activities did not come with a lunch option. Therefore, we wanted to ensure these employees were still fed with a great experience. So of course we called the infamous Tom & Chee food truck to come out to the hotel prior to them leaving for their activity. Some of these activities were Shoot the Hooch, bike tour and Andrettis and Stone mountain.
Once the employees' activities were complete, they hopped on their pre-arranged transportation to meet back at the hotel. They got dressed in their best and took a charter over to their dinner celebration at Best End brewery. Best End Brewery sits on the Atlanta beltline with four great room options for event space.
Upon arrival, the employees were greeted by a stunning branded balloon garland at the entrance and the Haylan Events team with a signature drink, Long Drink. This iconic Finnish citrus soda with a premium liquor kick is a must at every Relex event. They never do an event without this drink being present so we wanted to ensure it was there for them! We topped it with a lime and an umbrella.
It was a beautiful evening with a live band, Davis and the Love in the back outside. Karaoke in a room off to the side (where the live band did not interfere). Awards were given, speeches were made, tons of dancing and lots of fun and laughter. A delicious buffet was presented with a beautiful summer dessert option. The tables had a simple green garland down the center with candles that complemented the decor of Best End Brewery. Relex wanted something simple, elegant and rustic. We made some Relex signature drinks for both bars.
Also outside was a photo booth camper. Employees had a great time getting into this camper and capturing some fun and hysterical moments together. We also had a photographer to ensure we captured it all. It was a beautiful way to end such an amazing event!
We are so thankful for the opportunity to not only put on an unbelievable event for the entire US Relex Solution team but formed some of the best bonds!
