Isla’s Sweet ONE Birthday Party

We were thrilled to be a part of Isla’s first birthday party! Located in Roswell, GA, the family knew they wanted to celebrate within the walls of their beautiful home.
It was the most beautiful, perfect fall weather to have tables set up in their backyard. As guests found a place to park, they were greeted with a number of balloons floating along the driveway. When they entered the iron gates, a light pink acrylic sign welcomed them along with the stunning view of the family’s waterfall that flowed into the pool. Around the yard, we placed balloons with color coordinating streamers running down the string. Under the patio, we had a bright and welcoming photo backdrop for guests to take pictures. A balloon arch surrounded the soft pink backdrop with white letters that read “Happy 1st Birthday Isla.” Next to the arch, a pink themed highboy-table had a polaroid camera and a notebook for guests to write their birthday messages to Isla.
In the kids area, we included a bounce house, a play pit with a play rollercoaster, a ball pit, connect four, and many other soft play activities. For their tables, we placed a velvet pink tablecloth and the cutest candy themed centerpiece! Lollipops burst out of the arrangement along with other treats. A light pink couch was placed beside this table and had soft pillows with shades that coordinated with the colorful theme.
For the tables, we had rose gold sequin table linens and matching table runners for the high boys. Small vases were placed on each highboy with a couple of flowers. The tables had a larger and more detailed floral arrangement ranging from shades of pink and cream. On the florals, there were also subtle hints of sprinkles placed on the leaves. It’s all about the details!
It’s important to note that Isla’s family are major football fans! Under the pavilion, there was a cozy fireplace and a tv with a football game playing in the background. Friends and family could play cornhole, see the mixologist at the bar, or cheer on the game. They also catered barbeque sliders, chicken salad sandwiches, and had a charcuterie setup. The kids were able to select a kids turkey sandwich or enjoy a classic PB&J with some wonderful snacks.
Being a sweet ONE, it only makes sense that the desserts were delicious and beautifully decorated! On the sweets table, we included bright pink hydrangeas with a few pieces of greenery within their vases.The elaborate cake was filled with mini donuts, sprinkles, and lots of icing. A firework sparkler “1” was placed on top of the cake which made for a great photo opportunity! At the bottom portion of the cake, halved donuts surrounded the layer and held a “happy birthday” banner. If cake wasn’t enough, guests could also indulge in some donuts at the large donut hole board! A table was placed next to it with baby pictures of Isla and a marquee reading “Isla is sweet, take a treat!”
It was definitely one of the sweetest events of the year!
